This psalm just blows me away every time I read it:
The Lord became my protector.
He brought me out to a place of freedom;
He saved me because He delighted in me. Psalm 18(17):19-20
I don’t even know where to start to express my wonder at the fact that not only does the Lord protect me and free me, but He delights in me??? Little ‘ole me? Wow! He doesn’t just love me, he delights in me. He enjoys watching me and I please Him. He is happy with me. And forgive me when I make bad choices. When I feel constrained or under attack, He protects me and leads me away form danger. He frees me. What a liberating feeling to know that I am covered!
Dear Lord, Thank you for protecting me and delighting in me. I delight in you, as well and I am grateful you are in my life!! Amen
